- Description
- Possibly America's biggest hit of the 1800s, Charles k Harris' "After the Ball" sold over 5 million copies, 1 for every 2.5 households at the time it was written. It is in waltz form, with an intro, verse, and the chorus, which is most famous.
Tempo should be that of a fast waltz.
The hardest part of this piece, as in the origonal, is Harris' constant use of accidentals to complicate the harmonic structure.
